Yoga Tips

I love Yoga. It relaxes my mind, it gives me a great workout, and makes me more comfortable in my life and environment. Regardless of why you practice Yoga and what your goals may be, here are some tips to help you in your pursuits.

Wear clothes that you are comfortable in when you practice Yoga. The emphasis here is on "you," which is uncommon in Yoga, but you need to be comfortable as opposed to concerned how you look or the clothes tugging on your body. I tend to wear old and comfortable clothes, which are somewhat baggy and don't tug at my body. I have a well worn yet not unfashionable set of sweats I often wear. You might prefer tight fitting and flashy workout clothes - it's up to you.

Don't push very hard when practicing Yoga. You don't want to strain yourself or exhaust yourself, but you also don't want to make it too easy. We can summarize this easily by saying "Take the middle path, neither too hard nor too easy."
